Dr. Robert T. Martini, D.D.S.

Dr. Robert T. Martini has been practicing aesthetic and restorative dentistry for over 10 years. He received his DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry.  After completing a one-year General Dentistry Residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where he studied Geriatric Dentistry, Operating Room Dentistry, Emergency Care and more, Dr. Martini finished his Post-Graduate Prosthodontics Specialty training while on staff at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.  His training included surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, cosmetic makeovers, maxillofacial restorations and oral reconstructions involving multi-disciplinary dentistry. Academically, Dr. Martini’s resume is both extensive and exceptional.  He teaches cosmetic and restorative dentistry at Hackensack University Medical Center and lectures on Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry. Also, as an instructor for the Aesthetic Advantage’s Hands-On Aesthetic Post-graduate Program at New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Martini teaches fellow dentists superior clinical skills in cosmetic dentistry utilizing cutting edge techniques and advanced technology to create beautiful smiles. In addition to teaching Implant Dentistry, he has had his work presented to various local and national dental organizations and published in national and international dental journals.

Chief of Prosthodontics and Implants at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Martini maintains membership in many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontics, the International College of Oral Implantologists, the American College of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of Osseointergration and the Implant Prosthodontic section of the ICOI.  He is an active member in the New Jersey Dental Association and is currently the Vice President of the Bergen County Dental Society and Chairman of numerous committees. Dr. Martini has completed certified courses in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Emergency Medical Technician and Patient Management with IV Sedation.

James A. Ruggiero, D.M.D.

Director of Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Ruggiero received his BA degree as a pre-medical and pre-dental student at Seton Hall University. During that time, he was president of a local chapter of the American Cancer Research Society. Dr. Ruggiero received his DMD degree from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry (now called the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) and was elected to the National Honor Dental Fraternity, O.K.U. He completed his professional training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at various institutions, including Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, NYU School of Dentistry, Bellevue Hospital and Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Periodontics Department).

Dr. Ruggierio is an attending dentist and Section Chief of Clinical Dental Education, Department of Dentistry at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he teaches in the General Dental Practice Residency program. He has admitting and operating room privileges. He also has a parenteral sedation permit to perform intravenous conscious sedation for patients at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Ruggiero has also completed numerous courses and training in Implantology, Temporo-mandibular Joint Disorders and Orofacial pain.

Dr. Ruggiero is certified in CPR (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey State Dental Association, the Bergen County Dental Society and the Panky-Dawson Study Club of New Jersey. Dr. Ruggiero is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and has attained much more than the necessary credits for his Mastership in the Academy (MAGD), which requires hundreds of hours of postdoctoral continuing education.
